Greeting Card: Congratulations As You Graduate

Tis the season for graduations (and grad parties), so over the next few days I will share my vintage graduation cards with you.
Congratulations,
AS YOU GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL!

This card was published by Rust Craft (Boston) in 1948. Don't you just love the delivery boy and his sidekick! For the grad - an orchid! Open the card and you will see, the gift box is a cut out with cello.
Inscription: "Congratulations & Our Best Wishes
Mr. & Mrs. Douglas Johnson

Just keep right on throughout the years
The way you've started out,
Because you've proved you know the score,
And what it's all about;

That's why it's such an easy thing
To prophesy for you
Still more success and happiness
In everything you do!

  1. LOVE old cards. I think they are awesome. Great graphics.
    I "shopped" at your space the other day! Nice bluebird playing cards.
    Hope your sales are going well.

  2. Hey Deb! Glad you had time to see my 'space!' I hope you are enjoying those cute doggie drink glasses! It seems as if every time I visit AM, I only have time to work on my merch, and not time to shop. I hope to revisit your booth soon!

  3. I have a bunch of old cards from the 1920's up to the 1950's. I found this page looking to see if they are actully "worth" something although I dont think I could part with these cards. The back has 50 E 121 Copyright MCMXLVIII Rust Craft Boston U.S.A. this is a very nice card. I was wondering how you know what they're worth? Should I bring them to an antique shop?
